Water@UW-Madison’s Fall Art & Science Poster Session brought together undergraduates, graduate students, post-docs, faculty, staff, agency partners and members of the public for a fun evening of conversation and exchange. The event provided a valuable opportunity for us to learn more about the incredible water work underway across campus and beyond. We were able to view 37 exhibits covering a broad range of water topics, and around 100 people were in attendance. Congratulations to our poster award winners (highlighted below), and thanks to all of the presenters and attendees for participating and helping make a great event!

Lucie Carignan, winner of the “Innovation Overflow” award recognizing the project that takes the most creative, original or surprising approach to tackling water challenges.

Ian Vierck, winner of the “Cross-Currents” award recognizing the project that brings together unexpected fields to create a new understanding or approach to water issues.

Mae Moen, winner of the “Ripple Effect Champion” award, recognizing the project that best exemplifies community engagement, advocacy or collective action in water sustainability.
