Research Summary

As the director of Trout Lake Station in Boulder Junction, WI; I facilitate research for individuals from across institutions, UW departments, and within the Center for Limnology on the waters of Northern Wisconsin. We host 100’s of researchers annually on site and are the northern home to the North Temperate Lakes Long Term Ecological Research Program which has been gathering continuous information on lakes since 1982. I study how organisms evolve (in traits, in behaviors, and in perceptions) to deal with the challenges inherent in our ever-changing waters.
