- Research Summary
- My research revolves around the influence of green sea turtle herbivory and environmental stressors on the structure and functioning of seagrass ecosystems. Seagrasses form important coastal habitats, yet how they will respond to expected future increases in herbivore pressure and habitat disturbance is not well understood. Through a combination of comparative studies and manipulative experiments, I investigate how seagrass ecosystems respond to green turtle grazing and environmental stressors such as warming temperatures, with the aim of enhancing our understanding of seagrass structure and function and informing effective conservation of these important coastal habitats.
