Research Summary
I am an environmental economist working on surface water quality issues. I am interested in nutrient pollution, harmful algal blooms, and nonpoint source pollution. My expertise is in nonmarket valuation. I use primary, secondary, and survey data to estimate the dollar value of environmental resources as a way to quantify their contribution to human wellbeing. My current projects feature collaborations between economists, hydrologists, and ecologists to build and apply an Integrated Assessment Model (IAM) for valuing changes in surface water quality at the national scale.
