- Research Summary
- My research focuses on how to design, monitor, enforce, and evaluate conservation strategies, with an emphasis on fish and wildlife management. Theoretical models from economics and ecology guide my work; however, my approach is mainly empirical, drawing on techniques from econometrics, machine learning, and remote sensing. My ongoing work is primarily focused on (1) reintroducing previously eradicated predators to ecosystems and (2) expanding protected areas. I am also interested in (3) developing and leveraging new technologies to support environmental monitoring and strengthen conservation strategies. My goal is to build a research portfolio that both advances the academic literature and informs decision-making.
