Research Summary
I am the Reid Bryson Distinguished Professor of Climate, People, and Environment in the Nelson Institute’s Center for Climatic Research and an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. I specialize in hydro-climatology and water resources management. My research bridges climate science, hydrology, management, the environment, economics, and policy. Specific areas of expertise include climate risk management, effects of climate variability and change on water systems, hydrologic forecasting and uncertainty, disaster preparedness, and policies and mechanisms designed to increase reliability and reduce vulnerability.
